SEVEN BASICS OF FOCUSED NETWORKING
Seven Basics of Focused Networking:
- Always plan to leave a business or social gathering with a minimum of two (three is better) new "Connections".
- Always have clear and "Do-Able" goals before any networking gathering.
- Be a host, not a guest and use questions to "Host" your conversations.
- Keep your business cards easily accessible.
- Give and you shall receive
- Develop and maintain your "Connections" file and schedule a regular "Re-Connection" time each week to contact those you've been out of touch with. You can also use that time to update and maintain your "Connections" files.
- Schedule at least one weekly networking related breakfast, lunch or evening activity.
